Northern Telecom is supplying $5 million in telecommunications equipment to the Salt River Project, a public power and water utility serving the Phoenix metropolitan area. Under a four-year agreement, Northern Telecom will supply its s/dms TransportNode OC-48 at 2.5-Gbit/sec speeds and OC-1 JungleMUX network elements at speeds of 52 Mbits/sec, as well as its Network Manager system.
