FiberCore secures order for $1.3 million in fiber
4/4/00 FiberCore Inc. (Charlton, MA), manufacturer of optical fiber and preform for the telecommunication and data communications markets, has secured additional orders for singlemode and multimode optical fiber and preforms from an existing, undisclosed customer. The value of these orders is approximately $ 1.3 million and will be shipped throughout 2000 and 2001.
The company recently announced the introduction of their line of ValueGrade and EconoGrade optical fibers. These fibers are available in singlemode and multimode designs, and are intended for local access applications. FiberCore has production facilities in Jena, Germany.
