    Fiber-optic OconnectorO

    The OmniMux 400X and OmniStar 400X allow host systems operating under the ibm 5250 Express protocol to connect with a fiber-optic network. The Omni- Mux 400X allows use over extended networks and supports implementation of AS/400e Internet and network computer applications. The OmniMux 400X connects ibm AS/400 twinaxial cable to fiber or twisted-pair networks. The OmniStar 400X connects hosts in twisted-pair star configurations. Both operate with Express and legacy protocols, and are compatible with ibm 2790/9720, 2722, and 6180/9280 feature codes.
