Bidirectional optoelectronic module

A bidirectional optoelectronic module provides full-duplex communication over a single optical fiber. For use in both intermediate and long-range telecommunications applications, the module supports sdh, sonet, atm, trunk and local exchange links, and interexchange installations. The module includes a laser and a receiver, both aligned to send and receive signals simultaneously, and incorporates the laser and pin detector in the same housing.
