Uncooled laser diodes

The fu-436sdf-4m1b and 4m1c are uncooled laser diodes designed for cable-TV network applications supporting multimedia, as well as mobile telephony systems. The diodes are distributed-feedback optical-laser modules featuring a built-in optical isolator. Without the need for cooling, oems are able to save on device costs and product assembly time, according to the manufacturer. The diodes operate at temperatures to 85°C. They feature a typical tracking error within 0.3 dB. Operation is at distortion levels with second and third order figures less than -50 and -60 dBc respectively. The diodes operate at noise levels typically <-150 dB/Hz, with a typical differential efficiency of 0.2 mW/mA.
