Fiber-optic repeater

The ozd fip fiber-optic repeater is designed to work with duplex ring system configurations to provide network security. The repeater is used with Worldfip fieldbus hardware in applications such as traffic control systems, motor vehicle manufacture, and building services automation systems. The device features full protocol transparency for the 1-Mbit/sec Worldfip signal, signaling contact for the transfer of management signals, and long-range capability between users. The unit runs on either a 24V or 48V DC power supply. Fiber types include 50/125 and 62.5/125 microns. It features cascades from 0 to 19, operating temperature from 0° to 60°C, electrical isolation, and diagnostic leds. The repeater sells for $660.
