dsc Communications Corp., Plano, TX, will continue delivering its Litespan 2000 access system and Starspan fiber-to-the-curb system to Ameritech of Chicago, IL, based on an extended agreement that lasts through 2002. The contract calls for use of the Litespan system as a multifunction platform at both OC-3 (155-Mbit/sec) and OC-12 (622-Mbit/sec) levels.
