In another development concerning Nortel, that company and abb Network Partner Ltd., a subsidiary of abb Switzerland, have signed an agreement for the worldwide distribution of Nortel`s broadband Synchronous Digital Hierarchy communications systems to the utility industry. abb expects the deal will expand its position as a single-source solutions provider.
