Motorized variable attenuator

The motorized variable attenuator suits real-time channel pre-emphasis and gain- equalization in dense wavelength-division multiplexing systems. Using a direct motor control interface, the unit comes in a 56 ¥ 46 ¥ 25-mm package. Attenuation can be set over a 20-dB range with a 0.5-dB excess loss. Optional monitoring ports can be included in both input and output sides.
