Excel Communications (Dallas, TX) will extend the reach of its switched and private line network through an amendment to an existing contract with ixc Communications (Austin, TX). ixc will provide private-line and switched network services to augment Excel`s existing facilities. Excel is in the process of expanding its own nationwide, facilities-based network.
