The FO 7045 fiber-optic cable-stripping machine incorporates four stripping functions that can be programmed to allow for a variety of stripping combinations. The system processes several different cable types and thicknesses to a length of 70 mm and an outer diameter to 4.5 mm. It strips the outer jacket, Kevlar, and buffer and primary coating on singlemode and multimode cables in less than 14 sec, according to the manufacturer. Cable programs can be changed in less than 3 sec without tooling or blade changes.
