MFS Network Technologies Inc. (MFSNT--Omaha, NE), a subsidiary of Able Telcom Holding Corp. (West Palm Beach, FL), signed a contract with Metromedia Fiber Network Inc. (MFN--New York City) to provide construction-management services for MFN`s fiber-optic network in the Boston metropolitan area. Development and design work is underway and MFSNT will continue to work in phases throughout the Boston areas and surrounding suburbs. Once completed, the network will support high-speed voice, data, and video communications services. MFSNT also announced plans to construct a fiber-optic network in Michigan for Norlight Telecommunications (Brookfield, WI), with construction beginning next spring and project completion expected by the third quarter of 1999.
