Pirelli Cables and Systems North America (Columbia, SC) signed a long-term contract for the multiyear supply of fiber-optic cable to Ledcor Industries Ltd. (Vancouver, BC, Canada) with a value of more than $60 million. The Pirelli cables will be manufactured in the Lexington, SC, and Surrey, BC, facilities. The cables will be used to extend both the Canadian National Railway route telecommunications system and the southern route that follows the Canadian Pacific Railway and Grand Trunk Western.
