Ericsson Business Unit Transport and Cable Networks, Stockholm, has signed a $3.5 million (sek 28 million) contract to provide sdh equipment to the Communications Authority of Thailand. The contract was awarded out of a partnership with Jasmine International, a Thai telecommunications provider. Ericsson will supply the sdh technology, and Jasmine will supply the fiber-optic cable and outside-plant assistance. The project includes the country`s first 4/1 digital crossconnects.
