Fiber-optic patching system

The smart F/O 96 is an upgrade to the company`s modular PatchView system. The smart F/O 96, when used with PatchView, can scan fiber-optic cabling configuration and then report connectivity status. It features snmp real-time management of patch-cord connections under PatchView. The smart F/O 96 introduces real-time connectivity management to patching, according to RiT. The intelligent panels, which support 48 duplex cables (or 96 fibers) in a rack space, can be attached to the PatchView system so that the system continuously scans the connectivity configuration of all patch cords and reports in snmp to the network administrator`s management station.
