The hdsl modem gm-d allows transmission of up to 2 Mbits/sec over 6 km via four-wire copper cables. The signals are transmitted bidirectionally via two twisted pairs. The modem supports the unstructured G.703 format as well as the structured N ¥ 64-kbit/sec format in a transparent mode. Other features include alarm contact and loop tests according to V.54. The modems are available as stand-alone units or 19-inch rack-mount cards.
