Frontier Corp., Rochester, NY, has activated a 500-mi stretch of its fiber-optic network between Los Angeles and San Francisco, CA, as well as a 70-mi "mini-ring" connecting Oakland, San Jose, and San Francisco. Once completed, the company`s planned 13,000-route-mi fiber network will connect approximately 100 cities across the country.
