TechCity and Hudson Valley DataNet signed an agreement to provide the mid-Hudson region with high-capacity fiber connectivity coupled with a large advanced data center environment in which to conduct business.

The agreement calls for Hudson Valley DataNet to build its fiber optic backbone directly into TechCity to provide high-speed bandwidth services for the tenants. Hudson Valley DataNet's backbone will initially provide high bandwidth connections up to multiple OC-48's (2.5Gbps). With a 96-fiber backbone network, the TechCity bandwidth can easily and quickly be scaled to a capacity to meet even the most demanding tenant.

The fiber connection for TechCity is built using a "self-healing" SONET architecture to provides a high level of reliability. Hudson Valley DataNet's services, and its interconnections to major telecommunications providers, make it possible for tenants to utilize any type of bandwidth service, from the simplest of voice services to high resolution, real-time video distribution.
