TranSwitch Corporation and Samsung Electronics enter into strategic alliance

Oct. 16, 2001--TranSwitch Corporation has entered into a strategic alliance agreement with Samsung Electronics, under which TranSwitch is a preferred supplier of the Samsung Network Broadband Division for the development of next generation networking solutions.

TranSwitch Corporation (NASDAQ:TXCC) announced it has entered into a strategic alliance agreement with Samsung Electronics. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by both companies identifies TranSwitch as a preferred supplier and a strategic partner of the Samsung Network Broadband Division for the development of their next generation networking solutions.

The relationship between TranSwitch and Samsung is evident from Samsung's adoption of TranSwitch's patented CellBus switching fabric in both its current generation cdma2000 wireless network platform as well as its Broadband ADSL platform which are being deployed on a worldwide basis in several key markets.
