Fiber-optic transmitter and receiver

The HFBR-1528 transmitter and HFBR-2528 receiver operate to 10 Mbits/sec and support such industrial applications as machine control, robot control and programmable logic controller. The transmitter launches 0.5 milliwatt of optical power into 1-mm plastic optical fiber. The receiver operates with an arbitrary data pattern of unlimited run length and incorporates circuits to improve the pulse-width distortion of the first bit received after a long idle period.
