Fiber-optic transmission system

The FX/FR-1700 fiber-optic transmission system transmits digital-video signals at data rates to 300 Mbits/sec. The system exhibits a typical rise and fall time of 1.0 nanosecond and a jitter rate of less than 0.3 ns. Input/output impedances are 75 ohms with a return loss of 15 dB. It uses pulse modulation and wideband low-noise circuitry for transmission of digital-video signals over distances to 3 km.
