Visual light source

MW9070A mini OTDR has a visual light source. When the light source is connected to the source fiber, its red 635-nm light can identify a specific fiber in a cable bundle at the other end. It also locates problems in the near-end dead zone (first 25 to 50 meters) of a cable.
