Optical-return-loss option

Fiberscan 1000`s optical-return-loss option employs an optical continuous-wave reflectometer to measure a fiber`s return loss in less than 5 seconds. The autoloss feature performs insertion-loss tests in less than 20 seconds. If a Fiberscan 1000 is placed at each end of a fiber, bidirectional, dual-wavelength loss tests can be completed by pressing a button on either unit.
