The Series 241B fiber-optic link, developed by Fiber Options Inc., New York, is being used for the transmission of video and audio signals from the O.J. Simpson trial. In-court coverage from Judge Ito`s courtroom to the pool of national and international news journalists was awarded to the American Broadcasting Corp., which uses a system that operates over a video bandwidth of 8 megahert¥and an audio bandwidth of 20 kilohertz. The links include video-presence and audio-level indicators on the transmitter, and a level/loss indicator on the receiver.
