Daleen Technologies Inc. a computer software engineering company in Boca Raton, FL, has signed an agreement with the 3M Telecommunications Systems Group, based in Austin, TX, to develop a computer-controlled, graphic means of tracking 3M`s fiber-optic cables worldwide. The Microsoft Windows-based program, to be jointly developed by Daleen and Ameritech, Chicago, will graphically track the use and routing of 3M fiber-optic cables used by the world`s major telephone companies. The system will be used by the regional Bell operating companies to manage cable connection in a high-density crossconnection cabinet.
