Video trial

US West Communications, Denver, has launched a 12-month video dial-tone trial in Omaha, NB, which will pass approximately 50,000 homes using a hybrid fiber/coaxial-cable architecture with a dual coaxial-cable drop. Known as US West Telechoice, the trial will deliver all video channels directly, without the need for an additional cable box. US West eventually plans to ramp up digitally based interactive services and make them available to all Omaha customers.
