Utah fiber network

Phoenix Fiberlink Inc., Folsom, CA, is building a $9 million to $10 million metropolitan area network in Salt Lake City to provide telephone service to business customers. The system will use synchronous optical network technology to provide almost 100% reliability. The network will support voice, video, data, asynchronous transfer mode and frame-relay communications. Initially, the network will be a 30-mile ring reaching 600 to 700 small to large businesses in downtown and West Valley city areas.
