Canadian Sonet deal

Northern Telecom, Montreal, has inked a synchronous optical network contract with Manitoba Telephone System for $9 million (Canadian). The contract includes optical carrier, level 3, OC-12, OC-48 and OC-192 Transportnode equipment, as well as the S/DMS network manager.
