New York fiber network

New York City-based Citicorp intends to cut over a 2.4- gigabit-per-second fiber-optic synchronous optical network-based private data network that will interconnect buildings throughout New York City. Nynex will provide the Sonet technology, and MFS Communications, Omaha, NB, will be a supplier. The Sonet network incorporates OC-48 fiber-optic cable configured in a bidirectional and dual-ring architecture.
