Interface converter

Model 265 interface converter provides isolation between RS-232 and RS-422-based systems. Circuitry enables the RS-422 port to withstand surges exceeding 10 kV. Protection can be doubled by using the device in pairs. Full-duplex transmission is provided to 19.2 kbits/sec over two miles. RS-232 input is via a DB25 connector. A switch is included to reverse the data pins of the RS-232 connector to accommodate DTE or DCE ports. The unit is packaged in a 50.8 ¥ 69.9 ¥ 19-mm metal case and costs $142.
