Marubeni Corp. and Hitachi Ltd.

In 1997, Marubeni Corp. and Hitachi Ltd. plan to launch a duplex broadcasting-communications type of cable-TV service in Yokohama, Japan, using fiber-optic circuits to be installed by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT). NTT is now laying circuits for approximately 130,000 households in two Yokohama wards.
