Ciena Corp., Savage, MD, reports that Teleway Japan Corp. has agreed to deploy Ciena`s 16-channel dense wavelength-division multiplexing system in a major Tokyo-to-Osaka portion of Teleway`s fiber-optic network. The installation is the first deployment of Ciena`s equipment outside the United States.
