Fiber-optic transmission system

The OSD590 multichannel fiber-optic transmission system uses RF surface-mount technology to package 16 channels, each consisting of wideband video, audio and RS-232 data, into a standard 3RU chassis. The system suits real-time closed circuit-TV and remote-learning applications over distances from 3 to 50 km. While primarily used to carry video signals, the system supports standard PCM line transmission signals from 1.544 to 8.448 Mbits/sec on each video channel.
