Optical ground wire

Fiber-based optical ground wire accommodates more than 100 fibers, and because it is immune to electromagnetic interference, operates problem-free in close proximity to high-voltage power lines. The optical ground wire features short-circuit ratings of 100 to 400 kA2/sec and higher. It also exhibits low strain at stringing, sagging and operating tensions, as well as minimal creep characteristics. A high-strength steel package provides maximum fiber protection.
