Sonet-ring-based optical interface

Dacs IV-2000 Release 5 Optics is a Sonet-ring-based optical interface on a wideband digital crossconnect system. The release streamlines network planning operations and provides Sonet-based services by automating tasks once done manually. The interface provides OC-3 and OC-12 Sonet-ring-based terminations. The integrated operations controller feature provides a point-and-click interface. The unit allows for conversion from electrical to optical interfaces by adding optical interface bays. It is supported by the company`s integrated transport management software family, which provides remote and centralized operations across digital crossconnect and add/drop multiplexer networks.
