Fiber-optic splice case

The 2178-S compact, low-profile case protects fiber-optic splices in small spaces for underground, pedestal, cabinet or aerial outside-plant applications. The case accommodates low fiber counts in butt or inline splice configurations. Constructed of chemically resistant material, the unit can withstand severe operating conditions, such as moisture, vibration and impact, cable stress and flexing, and temperature extremes. Cases come in various port sizes to handle common trunk and feeder cable sizes and include a pressurization valve for flash testing. Two splice trays accommodate 96 single-fusion splices. When used with a 2523 fiber-splice organizer, the case can accommodate 48 Fibrlok-brand splices.
