Cable-TV trial

Cox Communications Inc. in Atlanta plans to build a cable-TV fiber network in Oklahoma City to deliver telephone, digital video and Internet data services to 50 Cox employees in March 1997. The proposed multiple services network will use Asynchronous Transfer Mode technology from Ericsson Inc. and will be upgraded to a 750-MH¥system with fiber-optic cable reaching nodes of approximately 1000 homes, according to Mark Davis, director of engineering for telephone operations at Cox.
