Tellabs expands

Tellabs, based in Lisle, IL, plans to expand its three-year-old manufacturing and research and development facility in Bolingbrook, IL, to more than 300,000 square feet and invest more than $33 million to complete the addition by mid-1997. With this expansion, Tellabs projects an increase of 500 new jobs or more over the next four years. Construction on this new addition is expected to begin this spring.
