Corning consolidates

Corning Inc., Corning, NY, has formed two new major business sectors: Corning Communications and Corning Technologies, thus consolidating four product groups. This consolidation is subject to the approval of the company`s board of directors. Corning Communications includes Telecommunications Products, Siecor Corp., Opto-Electronics Components Products, and the Information Display Group, which includes Corning Asahi Video, Corning International KK, Corning International Corp., Corning Japan KK, Advanced Display Products and U.S. Precision Lens.

Corning Technologies includes Corning Consumer Products Co., Optical Products, Environmental Products, Lighting and Materials, and Science Products.
