SENKO offers fiber-optic cleaners

FEBRUARY 24, 2009 � Fiber-optic component manufacturer SENKO Advanced Components, Inc. has released SENKO Fiber Optic Cleaners -- dry cloth cleaners designed to clean single-fiber connectors residing in an adapter, faceplate, or bulkhead.

FEBRUARY 24, 2009 � Fiber-optic component manufacturer SENKO Advanced Components, Inc. (search Lightwave for SENKO) has released SENKO Fiber Optic Cleaners -- dry cloth cleaners designed to clean single-fiber connectors residing in an adapter, faceplate, or bulkhead.

SENKO Fiber Optic Cleaners work as a cloth sweeps 180� over the face of the ferrule to remove dust, dirt, oil, and other contaminants with as little as a gentle push. An audible click is heard when the process is complete. The dust cap of the cleaner also works as an adapter for cleaning unmated connectors.

Made out of an anti-static material with an extendable tip, SENKO Fiber Optic Cleaners are designed to make it easy to reach recessed connectors and for working in sensitive environments. Each Fiber Optic Cleaner lasts for up to 525 uses and can be disposed of afterwards.

SENKO Fiber Optic Cleaner SC, FC, and ST connector versions were tested against Arizona road dust and vegetable oil contaminants as well as for durability for the E-2000 flat and angled connectors.
