New transmission gratings are designed for use in telecom applications. Transmission gratings used at 1.5 µm require a depth-to-width aspect ratio typically greater than 2.5:1. These high-efficiency diffraction gratings pass Telcordia (Bellcore) temperature and humidity testing and can be produced in OEM production quantities.
