HIGH-EFFICIENCY YTTERBIUM FIBER LASERS

June 1, 2000

The PYL Series of 5-, 10-, 20-, and 40-W monolithic ytterbium fiber lasers are designed to operate in micromachining, materials processing, and product-marking systems. The diffraction-limited (<1.05 M2) 1060-nm laser beam is delivered directly to the work site via a metal-sheathed single-mode fiber cable. The lasers are compact, need no water cooling, and require only a 12- or 24-V power source. PLY lasers are factory sealed and require no replacement parts.
