DWDM SOURCE LASER-DIODE MOUNT MODULE

June 1, 2000

The LDM-4616DFB module for mounting multiple DFB laser diodes is designed for signal source banks in DWDM test applications. Each module has four butterfly mounting sockets that are hardwired to a standard DFB laser pin configuration. Up to four modules and 16 lasers can be mounted in one LDM-4616 chassis. Each socket provides electrical connections for laser drive current, photodiode feedback, TE cooler current, thermistor sensor signals, and case ground. These new modules can be mixed with pin configurable mount modules for mounting pump lasers in the same chassis. Rack-mount slide rollers allow access to the entire mounting tray. Other features include fiber-management spools and interchangeable fiberoptic connectors.
