TUNABLE FIBER GRATING

April 1, 2000

A fiber grating is fingertip tunable over a range of 20 nm in the L-band, the C-band, and other wavelengths. It can be controlled either electrically or manually. It can be used for a dynamic add/drop DWDM filter, a wavelength router or switch, and a tunable fiber laser, as well for dynamic gain flattening, dynamic dispersion compensation, and other fiberoptic applications.
