Jonathan Grantham, worldwide channel sales VP, Fujitsu Softek

Jonathan Grantham has been named to the newly created position of vice president, worldwide channel sales operations at Softek, a leading provider of storage management software. He previously served for more than seven years at EMC in senior-level sales and management roles, most recently overseeing channel sales throughout Europe. Grantham will be responsible for managing the integration of the company's worldwide channel operations, with special emphasis on regional channel development and productivity. He will also concentrate on executing global channel readiness programs for Softek channel partners as well as helping refine the company's channel strategy and sales model in Europe. "Adding Jonathan to the Softek team significantly enhances our ability to serve the needs of our 50 Softek Synergy Program members worldwide, which we expect will more quickly accelerate revenue growth for our open systems storage management solutions," says Erna Arnesen, vice president of worldwide channels. "Jonathan brings a wealth of sales and multichannel experience in the storage industry and has a track record in developing mutually beneficial relationships with storage solutions providers and their customers."

Juergen Schroeder, product development director, Pandatel

Pandatel AG, developer of network access and data transmission technology, strengthened its research and development business unit by appointing Juergen Schroeder as director of product development. He will also coordinate the company's international development activities. Prior to joining Pandatel, he was director of product management/strategy, marketing, and tendering at Alcatel Kommunikations-Elektronik. Schroeder will coordinate all development activities, in-house and external, as well as integrate the development departments of acquisition targets. And in the coming months, he will focus on advancing and implementing Pandatel's product roadmap. "Our goal is to define our core competence as a developer and manufacturer of products for telecom solutions and to convey our know-how to the customer," Schroeder explains.

Boyd Peterson, consumer/media research and consulting VP, Yankee Group
Bryan Van Dussen, telecommunications/regulatory research and consulting director, Yankee Group

The Yankee Group appointed Boyd Peterson vice president of consumer and media research and consulting. Peterson, who was previously research vice president at the Yankee Group covering similar markets and technologies, returns after spending three years in the broadband software vendor sector where he was responsible for product and strategic marketing and communications solutions. Prior to the Yankee Group, Peterson served as manager and analyst for AT&T's consumer division, providing competitive analysis of international telecommunications, global calling, carrier strategies, and online and information services. The Yankee Group also appointed Bryan Van Dussen as director of telecommunications and regulatory research and consulting. Van Dussen previously was an analyst and director in the Yankee Group's European and North American operations covering telecoms. He returns after several years in executive management positions with a European competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) and a startup IP carrier where he held various roles in operations, product development, and strategic account management. Most recently, Van Dussen served as VP of Priority Telecom, a CLEC providing business-to-business metro services in Europe. Before joining Priority, Van Dussen was marketing VP for a startup international IP carrier. He developed, launched, and marketed the company's international ATM, IP, and collocation services in 19 countries. Pavi Binning, CFO, Marconi plc
Chris Holden, group financial controller, Marconi plc

Marconi plc has named Pavi Binning chief financial officer. Binning is expected to assume the CFO responsibilities upon his October departure from Diageo plc. He will also join Marconi's board of directors. Binning's 17-year resume at Diageo includes corporate finance director, group financial controller, CFO Europe, and CFO Americas. He has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants for more than 21 years. Chris Holden, who joined Marconi as interim group financial controller one year ago and was interim CFO, is the company's new group financial controller. "I am delighted that Chris Holden, who has done a superb job and helped the company through a complex and arduous refinancing, has agreed to remain in place as group financial controller," enthuses Marconi chairman John Devaney.
