January 3, 2006 Sunnyvale, CA -- Alliance Fiber Optic Products (AFOP), a supplier of fiber-optic components, subsystems, and integrated modules for optical network equipment, recently introduced its family of PLC Splitter LGX modules, designed for high-port count FTTX applications demanding performance and reliability in adverse environmental conditions.

The company says its PLC module features low insertion loss, low polarization dependent loss, and high port-to-port uniformity. The modules are available in 4-, 8-, 16-, and 32-channel configurations with SC, SC/APC, or LC pigtails. The company says its OEM-friendly packaging provides flexibility and density to meet broad design requirements.
