DECEMBER 12, 2006 - Among the products Sweden Telecom will manufacture are transceivers, fiber/media converters, routers, and xDSL modems.

DECEMBER 12, 2006 -- Sweden Telecom is launching a product range under its own brand name, Sweden Telecom. Until now, the company has been primarily a services and solutions provider within the European telecommunications market, carrying a specially selected range of equipment from established suppliers and manufacturers.

"Being able to develop, manufacture, and market our own products is an incredible opportunity," says Josef Widström, Sweden Telecom's CEO. "As a new hardware supplier, we can offer additional breadth, which gives rise to greater potential for coverage," he adds.

Due to increasing demands on the network infrastructure, Sweden Telecom says it has been receiving inquiries about products that are not yet available on the market.

"We have developed features and functions together with Scandinavian customers for almost two years now and feel we are ready to introduce our products and solutions on the international market," contends Widström.

The product range, which includes transceivers, fiber/media converters, routers, and xDSL modems, makes it possible to increase capacity and flexibility of existing networks. The products also contribute to reducing current expenses. All products are
RoHS-compatible, CE-marked, and UL-certified, says the company.

"The new product line allows us to offer an expanded service level and solve numerous problems on our customers' behalf," Widström adds.
