JANUARY 18, 2007-- Fiberxon (search for Fiberxon) will showcase their new products, a series of RoHS compliant 2.5-Gbit/sec EPON transceivers, at Fiber Optics Expo (FOE) in Tokyo next week.

Fiberxon's 2.5G EPON OLT/ONU transceivers are designed for 2.5-Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network (2.5G EPON) point-to-multipoint architectures, providing GEPON a smooth upgrade to higher speeds. It supports 2.5/1.25-Gbit/sec asymmetric downstream and upstream data rates with in a small form factor (SFF) package, working at 1490 nm and 1310 nm wavelengths, respectively. The transceivers are fit for Px10 and Px20 applications. Configuring Fiberxon's OLT and ONU transceiver in pairs, the system can achieve up to 29-dB downstream/upstream power budget, and can support more than 24 dB of system-level dynamic range.

"This new line of 2.5G EPON transceiver product is a new addition to our full portfolio of PON product offering," commented by Dr. Charpen Zhang, vice president of PON PLG of Fiberxon. "Fiberxon is the market leader in providing innovative PON optical transceiver solutions for optical broadband access."

Fiberxon will exhibit at booth #1~62.
