RED-C, JDSU ink strategic supply agreement

JUNE 19, 2007 -- JDSU Inc. (search for JDSU), supplier of communications test and measurement and optical products, and RED-C Optical Networks Ltd. (RED-C; search for RED-C), a provider of integrated optical subsystems based on optical amplification technology, have entered into a strategic supply agreement, which is aimed at strengthening cooperation and business relations between the two companies. Pursuant to the supply agreement, RED-C has selected JDSU to be its main supplier for a broad line of optical components to be incorporated in RED-C optical amplifiers and subsystems.

Yossi Boker, RED-C president and chief executive officer, comments, "Our growing business with JDSU is due to the top quality and reliability of JDSU optical components, which is consistent with RED-C's own strong commitment to excellence in our integrated optical subsystems. This strategic supply agreement with JDSU is an important milestone in RED-C's rapid growth and its roadmap to becoming a leading global supplier for optical amplifiers and subsystems."
