APRIL 25, 2007 -- Optiwave Systems Inc. (search for Optiwave), provider of optical component and system design tools, today announced the immediate availability of OptiSystem 6.0, the latest version of its optical communication system design suite. According to the company, this major release delivers a number of new features that facilitate the simulation and design of emerging optical communication technologies, including WDM passive optical networks (search for WDM-PON) and radio-over-fiber (RoF) systems.
